How packing day works

From walkthrough to unpacked kitchen.

  1. Walkthrough

We confirm what gets packed, what stays out, and which room to start with.

  2. Set aside a do-not-pack zone

A closet or bathroom for valuables, documents, and things you need that night.

  3. Pack room by room

One room finished before the next, so your home stays usable.

  4. Label everything

Each box marked with room and contents, plus "open first" boxes.

  5. Load in order

On moving day, boxes are loaded by room so they come off in the right place.

  6. Unpack and set up

If added, we unpack into the right rooms and clear away the empty boxes.

Before the packers arrive

A little prep keeps packing fast and makes sure nothing important gets boxed by mistake.

  • Set aside valuables and papersJewelry, passports, cash, and medications go with you, not in a box.
  • Pack a first-night bagClothes, chargers, toiletries, and anything you need before unpacking.
  • Decide what isn't movingDonate or toss it first so you don't pay to pack it.
  • Run the dishwasher and laundryClean, dry items pack faster and arrive fresh.
  • Use up or donate foodOpen and perishable food can't be packed.
  • Mark anything that staysSticky notes on items you're leaving behind avoid surprises.
